February 2012
IN FLOWER NOW
Sarcococca confusa (Christmas Box) is a neat, bushy evergreen that likes sun or shade and has tiny fragrant flowers. Plant one near your front door and the scent will welcome you home on cold winter days.
We also have several different types of Hamamelis (Witch Hazel). These are very pretty and are in flower now on the plant centre.
Camellia is the February plant of the month and ours are in bud right now just waiting to burst into flower soon.
DON'T FORGET
Continue planting bareroot trees and fruit during mild spells, they need to be in the ground by late March.
The birds are very hungry at this time of year, make sure feeders are kept topped up.
